Inbetween the snowshovers the sun revealed itself just long enough for a few preliminary testshots. The articulated screen+live-view+shutter delay function of the D5000 makes it just perfect for this kind of shooting. The only complaint is that the sun is TO BIG :D (this is a crop, but with this setup you woun´t get the whole disk in the image) No problem for me, Venus is still not too big. Data: Nikon D5000, MTO-11CA+TC-201 (=3000mm on DX), Baader astrosolar filter, ISO800 1/500s, 2s self timer, shutter delay ON.
