SEEVIC College will be supporting former student Ashley Banjo and his crew in the captivating dance group Diversity, as they prepare for the live final of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday.
Ashley, 20, from Wickford completed his A-levels at SEEVIC College in 2007 and younger brother Jordan, who is also part of the group, is due to start at the College in September. Diversity received a standing ovation from all three judges as well as the audience in the first of the live semi-finals on Sunday. They beat fierce competition to win a place in the live final and were described by Simon Cowell as “Sensational”.
Multi-talented Ashley did extremely well at SEEVIC gaining four A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths achieving two A grades and two B grades and now looks set for massive success as part of Diversity. He not only performs but also creates and choreographs the innovative, entertaining and unique routines.
Ashley’s Mother Danielle Banjo said: “Diversity’s motto is Dream, believe and achieve and that’s exactly what they hope to do on Saturday night. The group are a unique mixture of guys of all different ethnicities, ages and careers, they were UK street dancing champions in 2007 and some of the guys have dancing together for 16 years so for them to win Britain’s Got Talent would be amazing.”
Samantha Thoburn 18, from Hullbridge said: “I love Diversity’s moves and the way they bring comedy to dance. I voted in the semi-finals and will definitely be voting again on Sunday.”
Dean Ross, 18, from Basildon said: “Diversity are great! They give such a good message about young people as people our age often get a lot of bad press. Diversity prove that with a lot of hard work and determination you can achieve yours goals.” SEEVIC College is very proud to be supporting Ashley and the rest of the Diversity crew and hopes to see them go all the way and win the competition on Saturday.
