Expectation Maximization
Lake Redington
Dear Photo Diary,
I had an epiphany while processing this shot. My obsession with bokeh stems from its similarity to impressionist paintings (my other obsession, although I'm too impatient to take up painting). I can't imagine photogs not paying attention to that beautiful blur, but that's the way it was up until fairly recently. Only the subject mattered and large apertures were just used to down-play any unwanted distractions. Sure, having a "subject" is nice but that's certainly not the whole picture (da har har).
P.S. I realize this was probably common sense to everyone but me.
P.P.S. really must see LARGE on Black
P.P.P.S. HBWN!
