WE NEED A FAVOR
Two days ago, one of our flikr buddies and my husband's emciicii dad passed away suddenly in his sleep.
We are in deep sadness...and grief...and numbness over our loss. I will miss him SO much...there are no words. He was my biggest cheerleader, and I always had the seat next to him at dinner.
skipwrope was his flikr name. He just began to really get into photography a couple of months ago, and was really starting to get into flikr. He wanted to start getting more comments, and really wanted to get explored. We were teaching him how to develop contacts and get comments and give them...and he was just starting to widen his flikr world.
FAVOR: His light here on this earth was put out too early - and so was his flikr life. It would mean the world to Matt and I if you could all take a moment to go to his photo stream and comment and favorite his final photo - comment and fav here a photo he took that Matt posted on his profile this morning. We would love to see if we can get his photo explored, and at the very least get a TON of comments. If each one of you could comment and then pass the word on to your flikr contacts, that would be such a gift and mean so much to our family. And I am certain that Buddy (skipwrope) would see and smile.
The entire day that he died the skies in LA were amazing...which is unusual because we don't usually have any clouds. There were light rays (God rays) and silver clouds, even a double rainbow in the sky above his house - really. We kept thinking about how he would have been pulling Matt outside to go take photos of the sky. We decided that he was showing off in heaven, creating sky pictures that would be worthy of a top 10 explore - over and over - and He was just smiling and thinking - "oh yeah? Watch this!"
Buddy, you will be missed...you were a light to this world and all of us, and the reach of your light has very long reach here. We can see it so well now. We'll keep your light going here dad, and you can keep the light on for us up there with the daddy we all share. I love you!
