Missed Shot Of A Lifetime
I killed my camera in Panama with sweat and humidity. Regrettably it died exactly when I encountered a sloth with the world's cutest baby sloth on the ground next to the trail. The sloth fled and if you have ever seen a sloth flee you know that they move extremely slow. It took ten minutes to get fifteen feet up a tree when my camera finally would cooperate - and I ended up getting a mediocre photo.
I felt like a complete idiot standing six inches away from a mom and tiny baby sloth with my camera lens zooming in and out in and out and then a message (turn camera off and on again) which of course didn't help!
Sloths are probably my favorite animal and I feel I missed the shot of a lifetime.
I replaced my Panasonic Lumix TZ 5 with two cameras: a Canon Powershot S90 (nice quality) and an Olympus Tough 6000 (mediocre quality but indestructible and water proof.
