Abundance of Colorado Wildflowers 2 (Explored)
There are so many tools in a photographer’s toolkit to convey the mood of an image: position, focal length, aperture, just to name a few. I wanted a very intimate, high key, bokeh-licious image of these varied wildflowers growing on a mountainside in southwest Colorado in the San Juan mountains, so I laid on the ground and used a wide aperture for a shallow depth of field, focusing on the most prominent blooms. I tend to favor my wildflower images in cooler tones, and for this image, also overexposed the image for a high key effect.
