Trying out a new enlarger lens
Longhorn beetle Oberea oculata (Cermabycidae) . Body length: 16 mm. Focus stack of a dead, prepared beetle in studio circumstances.
Photographed with a Rodenstock Rogonar-S f/4 25mm enlarger lens on a bellows at 5,3:1 magnification. 104 shots taken at f/4, 1/5 sec., ISO-100, 0,02mm steps. Illuminated with three diffused LED lamps. Since publishing this post, a friend asked me about the high number of the shots. I did the stack again from every second slices and got the very same result. He was right. So 0,04mm steps would have been enough for the increments.
