On the day of the Nevada City Camera Club evening photo walk during 2023 photography month, my west coast damsel and I strolled through Nevada City prior to heading down to the established meeting place. My damsel and her wonder photographic observant eye saw the rising moon and cross of St Canice Catholic Church at one of the high points within the confines of Nevada City. St Canice Catholic Church was established in 1867 when Father James Claire become the congregations first pastor, prior to that it was a mission of the Grass Valley Catholic Church.
