Souleymane is receiving support from Save the Children as part of an EU-funded project addressing the education, mental health and protection needs of children affected by violence in the Sahel.
As part of this programme, Save the Children train teachers and other community members, including parents and caregivers.
The training is about about children’s mental health, including how to deliver psychosocial first aid and detect signs of deteriorating mental health.
The aim is to help children recover from the distressing experiences they have faced.
