Simulation exercise: preparing for an earthquake in Slovenia
Janez Lenarčič, Commissioner for Crisis Management, visited various SIQUAKE 2020 exercise locations in and around Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 7 October 2021.
Commissioner met with the EU Civil Protection team at their local coordination hub.
In case of a real emergency, the EU Civil Protection team plays a crucial role in coordinating incoming international assistance and teams on the ground.
They are also in close contact with both local authorities and the EU Emergency Response Coordination Centre in Brussels, monitoring the situation and supporting the response in any way they can.
