Sylvie Waridi holds the hands of twin brothers, aged 8, just released from the Ebola treatment unit in Beni, North Kivu, in the DRC.

“I talk to them, comfort them and listen to their worries,” says Sylvie, one of the 150 psychosocial workers that works with children cared for at the Beni Ebola treatment centre. After 6 days of observation and 2 negative tests, the twins were declared free from the Ebola virus. “Every time we discharge a child from the centre we are filled with joy,” Sylvie explains.
