Ebola: getting ready to fend off the virus in Uganda
Jazira grew worried when her 10-year-old granddaughter Shadia became ill. “When my grandchild told me she had blood in her stool, I called Adam, the community worker, as he had taught us how to go about it,” says Jazira.
“I was able to tell Red Cross her symptoms, and she was able to get medicine and it did not take long for her to recover.” Luckily, Shadia was not affected by the Ebola virus, but she was able to get the help she needed.
