Mobile cinema is an engaging way for communities to get more information about Ebola, on how to protect themselves and prevent the virus from spreading. After this first mobile cinema, a poll showed an average 40% increase in awareness of the disease.
“This is one way of engaging communities because when you have theatre, everyone will be attracted,” said Aggrey Nyondwa, Communications Officer with the Uganda Red Cross Society.
“This is one way to raise awareness and bring these messages about Ebola to the people.”
