Emergency medical care for malnourished children whose life is at risk, Zinder Hospital
Nurses introduce a catheter in a child's arm to be able to medicate him. His is a case of severe malnutrition with complications and his life is at risk. He has been admitted to Zinder National Hospital, where EU provides funds for the free of charge treatment of malnutrition.
In 2018, EU funding helped treat over 246 000 children under five years of age, which represents 65% of the total number of children receiving nutrition treatment in the country.
