Healthy mothers, healthy babies in Somalia
SOS Children's Villages International treated over 20 000 acutely malnourished children in 2014. One in ten had medical complications. Demand for health services remains very high. In the maternal and child health section more than 200 women and children are provided with antenatal care, postnatal care, immunisation, iron/folate supplementation, malaria prophylaxis and health education.
