Crocus pulchellus - With Wood Sorel Leaves 55230

I couldn't find out much about this flower, but it seemed very springy to me, and what better day to post than the sixth day of rain.

Crocus pulchellus, the hairy crocus, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Crocus of the family Iridaceae, found the Northern Balkan Peninsula to Northwestern Turkey.

Growing to 3.9 inches, it is a cormous perennial, with pale lilac-blue flowers produced in the autumn, before the leaves appear. In this image, however, what may have been the beautiful touch is the Wood Sorrel growing around the crocus. This image is as I found it down to the dark background.

With the forecasted rain for the next eight days, the renovation will not be completed for another week. Whatever will be, I suppose. I'm not more patient than I ever was, but there's a certain amount of resignation that comes with age even if wisdom doesn't.
