Princess Etch a Sketch
Yin yang ducklings
This was an assignment where we were supposed to create a non-representative background of our choosing with watercolors, and we were supposed to paint a layer over it with an opaque median.Upon creating the background with these pastel colors, I thought something spring-like would be a nice touch. It was right around Easter, so I decided to take the less mainstream approach and paint some ducks. I have come a great deal this year in understanding how to use acrylics, and I think Ro and Bobby Joe for pushing me to use them. I still regret buying those crappy Basic paints for fundamentals.
As for the Yin Yang, Bobby Joe (my fundamentals teacher) mentioned to me that there is a sort of balance within this piece, in an almost adorable zen-like manner. I agreed. It was unintentional at best, but I am pleased with how the final composition turned out.
