Princess Etch a Sketch
Self Portrait Block 5.2009
4"x8", watercolor paper
This year I wanted to make a self-portrait that was not focused on my face itself but on the things that I like. I felt that by portraying my many interests it would help the viewer to not only see who I look like but grasp an understating of who I am.
The piece was completed with crayola watercolors and markers, and this was the very first piece I have done that I got to use my phenomenal watercolor pen on =0
I firmly suggest that every watercolor artist purchases a watercolor pen...it is the greatest invention in the history of art. Well I think the graphite pencil beats it, but not by much. (and the etchasketch as well)
I wanted to scan it before I let mod-podge corrupt it too much...the damage was already partially done on the top left corner. This was due to the fact that the paintbrush I used was partially wet before using the mod-podge...and since this is watercolor...you get the rest.
Anyways, I am going to have a lot of fun tagging this piece...
