Boys Grave Sunset
Horrible name, but a lovely view. This is Boys Grave in the Forest of Dean. There's some confusion over the name, it's either taken from the French for sloping wood, Bois Greve, or it's named after a Gipsy boy who fell on his own knife and was buried nearby. I see the French origin as the reason for the lack of apostrophe in the Forestry Commission sign, which I've duly recreated in my title.
It's a stunning view, straight over the gate down the long, undulating track towards the setting sun. To the right, but somewhat inaccessible is a bluebell patch (that's fenced off currently) and Speech House is a mile or so away.
