Richard Blewett - Pengenna Manor
The owner of an historic property near Wadebridge is transforming it from a working farm to a dream wedding venue.
Richard Blewett is the seventh generation of his family to live at the 800-year-old, Grade II* listed Pengenna Manor, near Trelill. A graphic design graduate he is using skills gained while on an Unlocking Potential placement to create a top class wedding and events business at the property.
The venue has been licensed and wedding and civil ceremonies can take place in the drawing room that was built during the reign of Elizabeth 1. Facilities offered include wedding receptions for between 10 and 350 guests; a flexible, purpose-designed marquee garden; a tree-lined outdoor ceremony space with feature summer house; overnight accommodation; a dedicated on-site wedding organiser and 300 acres of private countryside. Pengenna Manor is also within a six-mile radius of ten parish churches.
