Indian Summer

A prayer of peace

May we seek the truth, and speak it quietly.

May we listen for truth in the words of others with open minds and hearts.

And may we always remember the peace that may be found in silence.

(From an Indian prayer)

You must speak straight so that your words may go as sunlight into our hearts. —Cochise, Chiracahua Apache

Certain things catch your eye, but pursue only those that capture your heart.

~ old indian saying

When you are in doubt, be still, and wait;

when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.

So long as mists envelop you, be still;

be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists

-- as it surely will.

Then act with courage.

(Ponca Chief White Eagle (1800's to 1914)

The autumn sunlight was just magical and I couldn't resist letting it shine for you, even though it was a few years ago. It still shines in my heart and memories.

I like this music and it reminds me on the days in nature when I was sitting there by myself and enjoyed the silence and calmness. I felt so close to the Creator in heaven. And I was thinking “what for a wonderful world”...

The harmony of the music with the beauty of nature leads me back to my childhood when it was my greatest wish and dream to have a close friendship with the indigenous peoples, which are so closely connected with nature.
