A dream in blue
It was one of those magical moments at the Carnevale di Venezia 2017. This "Lady in blue" was so beautifully dreamy and touched me a lot with her gentle nature. Her melancholic aura was fascinating but also somehow sad. And yet she was able to inspire us with her charm, her beautiful costume and her gentle appearance. Everything seemed harmonious with her.
Such moments are what make the calm and gentle character of the Carnevale. Those who have not experienced it themselves can not really understand what makes these colorful days in Venice so special. It is this special, peaceful and friendly atmosphere that captivates and warms your heart.
That's why the Carnevale di Venezia is also known as the "quiet Carnevale". The masks come from somewhere and are suddenly here, without noises, very calm and peaceful. And so they go mostly away and disappear in the dreamy alleys of Venice.
This year the Carnevale will be without us for various reasons. We look forward to the next year, if we can be there again is our hope.
