Ashbourne Community Transport RX22SFV

Post-Hulleys the 110 and 111 are with Ashbourne Community Transport which primarily seems to be deploying two from the three Mercedes Sprinters which have fairly recently lost branding for the Moorlands Connect DRT service though retain base colours. These are the only vehicles in the fleet with destination equipment, although they usually seem to show both routes which isn't really that helpful considering that the 110 serves Bradbourne and Brassington and 111 Hognaston and Carsington Water.

RX22SFV is seen here leaving Bradbourne with the 07:35 Ashbourne to Matlock 110, this being the only 110 in the current timetable to serve Hognaston and one of only three to serve Carsington Water. As Ashbourne CT do not operate any vehicles which meet the contracted seating requirement of the 110/111, a second vehicle is used on certain schoolday workings, hence KV22XGU being in pursuit here. No such duplicate appears to run for much of the day, with the council seemingly content with the idea that a small vehicle is better than nothing on a rural route where passenger numbers will rarely climb into double figures at any one time.
