First York 37066

One of eleven B9TL Geminis in to carry a promotional livery for the 66 series University of York services, First York's YK57EZV (37066) is seen as it coasts along Lakeside Parkway on Heslington East Campus whilst operating the 10:00 66A from York city centre to the university's sports village.

This part of the university was opened in 2009. At the time, the main university service was First's 4 which was worked by the novel FTRs. The university then subsidised the York Pullman-operated 44 which was introduced in September 2010 and subseqently passed to Transdev York when they purchased Pullman's service work in February 2012. The subsidy was then awarded to First in August 2015, and a revamped network of routes was introduced with branded vehicles. The contract includes exclusive access to the road which 37066 is travelling along in the picture which is reserved for buses and bicycles. With heavy rain falling overnight, poor drainage meant that it resembled a marsh in places this morning.
