High Peak 649
The High Peak fleet includes three Plaxton Centro-bodied MAN 12.240s which presently tend to cover the two vehicle Buxton town 185/6 services. Two of these vehicles – 648 and 650 – came to High Peak from the Bowers half of the merger with Trent Barton in 2012, whilst the third, 649, arrived from Luton in summer 2017. 649 (FJ59FYS) was operating the 185 today, and appeared before my camera as it climbed through Harpur Hill with the 11:23 journey from Fairfield, backed by a fine vista looking northwards across Buxton.
