Day Of The Cloud

It was a wild lenticular cloud day at Reflection Lakes in Mt Rainier National Park in 2016. At times it was closer to Mt. Rainier which is just to the left in this photo.

It's a 3 shot HDR, all raw and natural merged in Lightroom which tamed the contrast. I did that quite a bit a couple of years ago but now... not so much. The DR of our camera sensors is amazing and a single shot will usually do the trick if you push the exposure to the right on the histogram.

Nik's Tonal Contrast brought more detail into the cloud area, selected with a Control Point. Also there were some nasty weeds sticking up in the bottom that the Healing Brush in PS took care of. That tool alone is worth the monthly subscription for the Adobe package for me. The vertical perspective was straightened (camera was looking down) using Transform in Lr.

Wishing our friends a great autumn season. Thanks for stopping by and for your warm comments! <3
