i do this to my SP's a lot.
especially when i take a close up shot like this one.
i tend to cut the photo in half.
deep, symbolic meaning behind it?
ummmm.....
i think it's because when i am looking at someone close up, i can't look into both their eyes at once.
i keep darting from one to the other and almost always end up focused on only one.
it helps me to really see them.
to really take them in.
and these days, i'm feeling like i really want to be seen.
not in a vain way.
just in a validated kind of way.
my soul (i don't believe in religion, but i do believe in souls) seems to want some kind of acknowledgement.
some kind of recognition.
so, that's why i cut up my SP's a lot i guess.
to gain a little focus.
song of the day: song for the asking, by simon and garfunkel
"i've been waiting all my life..."
p.s.
i'm taking an impromptu trip before my big vacation. will be gone for about a week, but shouldn't be too far from my computer and you can bet i'll be taking a ton of photos. just in case i don't have a decent internet connection where i'm going, i'm wishing you all peaceful, happy days ahead.
