I have no clue why the EPA building was lit like this tonight, though there seemed to be a black-tie affair of some sort going on. Are red lights and tuxedos environmentally friendly?
Monday update: Turns out it's the Mellon Auditorium, not the EPA. Thanks, comment people! And the great Google gods tell me it was an opera fundraiser: www.dc-opera.org/supportus/galasspecialevents.asp. Still no clue why it was red, though.
