Super 7 at Bound Brook

Two fairly unusual GE four axles lead a slightly more common GE four axle in a consist that would be nearly impossible to replicate today. Near the end of Conrail the rule seemed to be "anything goes" as power was repositioned in advance of the split. In this case, the lead unit was already patched for NS...a rare (especially in these parts) B30-7R. The "Super 7" lead an NS B32-8 and a Conrail B36-7 west through Bound Brook on the Lehigh Line. ML-401 had run via the Southern Tier Line initially, but by this date was running from Doremus Ave to Columbus, OH via Harrisburg and Conway.
