NGC 2244 Rosette Nebula SHO

NGC 2248 Rosette Nebula (also known as Caldwell 49) is an H II region located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy. The open cluster NGC 2244 (Caldwell 50) is closely associated with the nebulosity, the stars of the cluster having been formed from the nebula's matter. [Wiki]

6 hours of data imaged in one night on the 9th January 2024 at the Turismo Astronomico complex in Gorafe, Spain using the Esprit 100ED telescope and ZWO ASO 6200MM Pro camera. 3 narrowband filters were used for the nebula, Ha, Oiii and Sii, with Red, Green and Blue filters for the stars. Two versions were processed using different combinations of the narrowband filters. The first was imaged using the SHO pallet and the second using the OHS palette. Both used the same RGB stars.
