Daddy Sang Bass - Hedge Creek Falls

Two weeks ago I was driving through Dunsmuir and had an hour to burn because we were early for the party we were heading to. Crystal and I pulled off the freeway to checkout how much Hedge Creek was flowing. It was flowing hard. In fact there was a second waterfall off to the right of the primary. We were just driving through no planing for this, so the light was harsh. I didn't pull off any more traditional shots. The trail actually uses the shelter of the eroded cliff face to walk behind the falls to reach the other side. To get here, I had to run through the seasonal off shoot seen here.

After making sure my gear was safe, I turned around to see the sun hitting the mist. Brilliant! The main waterfall flowing probably 10 times fuller than this was just off camera to the right. I backed all the way into the recess of the cliff to avoid the spray and managed to find a dry spot.

Happy waterfall Wednesday everyone!
