An Indian Summer Tale

It won't dissapoint. View On Black

It was a nice autumn day. The weatherman said it will be a a little warm today. I just woke up and stared at the window. The fountain was still on. I forgot to turn it off last night and there was barely enough water to keep it flowing. I saw a couple of birds just basking and frolicking in the fountain...just enjoying their hearts content. I wish I had my camera ready to take a snapshot but I had errands to do. So in the afternoon when I got back, I set up my camera on a tripod by the window and hoped the birds would come back. I've waited and waited. 2 hours had passed. My patience was wearing thin. I was ready to call it a day when this bird just magically appeared on the fountain. I managed to snap three shots before it flew away when the pug, Milo, came and decided to check out the scene. I love how the late afternoon autumn sun cast a soft glow on the bird. It was worth all the wait, i thought.
