✿ God is Love and Love is God :
Does it really Matter if it’s on the 3rd, the 5th or the 12th ?
In most years Western Christian churches and Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Easter on different dates. In 2015, Easter will be celebrated on April 5 by Western churches and April 12 by Orthodox churches. But in 2014, the two celebrations occurred on the same date, April 20.
The first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the vernal equinox,is identical for both Western and Orthodox Easters, but the churches base the dates on different calendars. Western churches use the Gregorian calendar, the standard calendar for much of the world, and Orthodox churches use the older,Julian calendrar.I’m still confused …
~ Orthodox,Unorthodox,Paradox … It doesn’t really matter.
«Ο Θεός αγάπη εστίν» … God is Love ~
✿ I read about Ecclesiastical moons and paschal full moons, about astronomical equinox, and fixed equinox and two different calendars, and the different Dates, but still my Faith,my Beliefs are not influenced,I am not dogmatic at all.Because God is Love and Love is God
✿ Well, “If a man can arrange his religion so that it perfectly satisfies his conscience,it is not incumbent on him to care whether the arrangement is satisfactory to anyone else or not ” , Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad … ~
~ ♥ Happy Easter when it comes to you my Friends or If You don't Celebrate it ~ ♥ Have a Wonderful Spring Weekend ♥ ~
