One of the tall, elegant windows lining Place du Parlement

The stately buildings which surround the magnificent Place du Parlement are all very ornate, and crowned with tall, elegant windows. Each one is adorned by a unique, hand-carved figure which is known as a "mascaron" in French.

 

After walking through the square the night before, I just had to come back during the day to take a few pictures....
