The Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur, early morning, large panorama, Christine Phillips

We recently returned from a trip to Southeast Asia, with our first stop in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. We had only two nights there, so I was determined to make the most of my chance to photograph the majestic towers. Not too long ago, they held the title of tallest buildings in the world. That time has firmly passed, but interestingly—though not visible in this photo—Kuala Lumpur is now home to the second tallest building in the world.

I decided to leave the neighboring building in the photo... just for some framing and context. perhaps in later versions i will only show the city scape... what do you think?

KL, like many major cities, offers a fascinating mix of cultures and energies. I highly recommend stepping away from the dramatic, majestic business district to explore the neighborhood markets, where the city’s everyday rhythm truly comes alive.
