MAD Airport

Madrid airport has just opened a new terminal, the 4th.

This place is impressive. Architects (Richard Rogers & Antonio Lamela) have played with curves, shapes and color very nicely. It's a kind of organic.

On this picture, each pillar is actually painted with a different blue, it's not a post-treatment effect. But the main color of the airport is yellow which goes with Spain's stereotype of sun and holidays.

There's about 300 of them. It make a rainbow.

I love it.

According to my ruller on Google Earth, MAD terminal is 1.16km (0.72 mile) long!
