CBD goats

The Kolkata series continued.

This is the CBD of Kolkata. Evening rush hour, but then again when isn’t it rush hour in Kolkata. I was sitting on the curve, besides a nest of dog shit, a street vendor’s stall, the exhaust fumes and the gaze of other innocent bystanders. I am not sure what I was looking for but the bustling intersection and the red orange dusk had a certain appeal that resonated with me. In any case, as the minutes went by , I see through itchy and watery eyes, a miraculous scene: A young man shows up from around the corner, walking a decisive walk, and leading a herd of goats. They came out of nowhere, totally unexpected. Who would expect a herd of goats to take a leisurely homewards stroll in any CBD. I was so excited that I failed to properly set up shutter speed and aperture, and to my greatest disarray, all of the shots of this goat scene came out slightly blurred, and so at the wrong place. This also explains why I chose the BW version, you know, to hide the mess.
