Hello World! (Lightning Storm 1)

Yippee, I successfully captured my very FIRST lightning bolts photo!!!!

 

Mother Nature gave us a big treat last night with over an hour of an electric storm - no rain, no thunder, just super bright flashing lights, definitely scary at times!

 

Initially it was just big flashes of super bright light, the storn cells were very close to us; about 20 minutes later, the cells moved a bit to the east and lightning bolts started to form.

 

I didn't have confidence that I could capture any bolts in still photos, but hey, it never hurt to try.

 

As it turned out that the lightning bolts kept appearing for 45 minutes, Long enough for this newbie to keep trying.

 

The electric storm didn't die down, it just moved further away to the east.

 

I got a couple more usable images, and will share them over time. 😊
