Rock Island w.b. freight #55 with 81 cars + caboose behind two GP38-2, GP9r (4311-4300- ? ) A repost it is, but improved editing (in my opinion!) and a good followup for yesterday's postings. This final offering of the Rock's Chicago-Denver service came along after we tagged Union Pacific's #118 here. Rock's fleet, on this stretch of EwePee trackage rights from Limon to Denver, had dwindled down to this one pair of trains from the four or five each way that was normal in August'73 when I worked here.
