Rock Island southbound "Anadarko Turn" behind four GP7, GP35 (1231-1307…311.) About a week before I started my employment with them, I chased this long train out of El Reno to the south on the mainline towards Ft.Worth. But it was not destined for Ft. Worth; this train would leave the mainline at Chickasha and head west to Anadarko. From there the branch continued to Mangum, and another went south to rejoin the mainline at Waurika. Judging from the abundance of power, the caboose on the head end (and three more on the rear!), it was evident that this was a combination of power and trains to service these branches out of Anadarko. I'm sure it's hurrying right along at the 50mph speed limit, and when Anadarko is reached there will be some process involved to turn this train into two or three more.
