The wonders of digital have made my earliest shots of the Rio Grande a lot less dark...this eastbound approaches Lowell Blvd. as it leaves the Front Range behind. A pair of SD45's, a GP40, and an F7b (F9b?) lead the train towards North Yard, which is not too distant. The foreground track should be the C&S branch to Golden, home of Coors Beer, a.k.a. "Colorado Kool-Aid."
