South America Study Abroad
Assistant professor, Victor Okafor, of African American Studies led the first-ever EMU Intensive Educational and Cultural Program in South Africa where he taught a three credit course.The overall purpose was to enhance the students' global perspective and give them a broader understanding of the world. The four EMU students and Okafor spent six weeks during the summer touring various educational institutions in Soweto, Johannesburg, Robben Island, Cape Town and Durban.
