Frill Maxi Dress
This is not what I was looking for. I had one other thing in mind to buy, but as I was going into the changing rooms anyway it seemed a waste to take only one. Bardot necks and open shoulders have a certain attraction for me this summer, however this colour is all wrong. I mean, khaki! That's the colour you wear when you want to hide, isn't it? Why not be seen, stand out, be proud?
This particular cubicle was not a random choice. I've been here before and I know that it has the biggest and best mirror right opposite, so I can stand in my cubicle like this and take a medium range picture. Photos taken entirely within a cubicle tend to be at an awkward angle or not show a full length view. So I draw back the curtain, line up my camera and without leaving the cubicle pose sweetly. Just at that moment another customer steps right in front of me and starts checking her possible purchase! Because I haven't left my changing space, she is totally oblivious to the fact that I am using the mirror. Well, I did say it is the biggest and best in the shop.
Now, doing a photoshoot in the women's changing rooms is not normal so I have to be very discrete. I suppose one quick selfie on the phone might be okay, but a taking series of shots with a proper camera could get me into trouble. There is no option but to slip the camera round the door edge and swish the curtain quickly closed. After a pause, when it is quiet outside, I reopen the curtain and line up once more. Just as I am ready, she does it again! This time she notices what she has done and turns to apologise as I put the camera out of sight. We have a little laugh and I tell her the top looks great on her. For me, it is third time lucky, as you can see here.
