My Safe Place (aka Behind The Lens)
This is my ‘safe place’, always behind the camera. Doing these self-portraits has been an intense experience of therapeutic photography and has helped me examine my self and my illness, as well as providing therapy.
Part of a series entitled 'Out of My Mind', documenting my personal journey through mental illness, inspired by the works of Jo Spence and Cindy Sherman.
Photographed on 35mm Black and White film and processed and printed by me on 10x8 gloss paper.
