Memories

Memories

Elaine Paige

Daylight

I must wait for the sunrise

I must think of a new life

And I mustn''t give in.

When the dawn comes

Tonight will be a memory too

And a new day will begin

Burnt out ends of smoky days

The stale cold smell of morning

A streetlamp dies; another night is over

Another day is dawning

Touch me!

It''s so easy to leave me

All alone with the memory

Of my days in the sun

If you touch me, you''ll understand what happiness is

Look, a new day has begun.

Another dark, moody but stunning morning out in my beautiful home county of Kerry, Ireland, just before New Year. This location is called Lough Gill, and its hidden away behind a little village called Castlegregory. Talking to my family and friends who have lived all of their lives in Kerry, most were unaware that this place existed. Went here twice during my trip, the first was with my brother Aidan, and the second was with a great friend, who had travelled all the way down from Waterford, to do this shoot with me. Thank you for a great morning out Breda, both to you and your lovely sister. It was great to catch up with you.

Hope you like "Memories"

Cheers, Mike
