Up Where We Belong
Up Where We Belong
Joe Cocker
Some hang on to used to be
Live their lives looking behind
All we have is here and now
All our lives, out there to find
The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day
Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world we know
Where the clear winds blow
Time goes by
No time to cry
Life's you and I
Alive today
Went into the city centre this morning to shoot the Jacaranda Trees at the harbour. Met a few mates in there I hadnt seen in quite a while, which was a great and welcome surprise.
We all got what we went in for (to be posted later), and then myself and my mate Paul went for a stroll through the newly revamped streets of Sydney.
We got to this building, and as I was showing Paul this composition, I thought..."While in Rome..."
So, out came the camera, on with the 10-20 wide angle lens, and down on the ground I went, lying on my back, to get this.
Taken lying on my back, at 12mm, handheld, no filters. There is a curved mirrored edge wrapped around the base of the stairs, which gives a fantastic warped reflection of the surrounding buildings here. Thanks to my mate Dex for showing me this comp a few years back at the Vivid festival.
Today, it was my turn to pay it back, and show someone else (while I grabbed a quick pic myself).
Anyhow, hope you like "Up Where We belong"
Cheers, Mike
