The 14th Project - Installment 34
This month I decided that to visit the Camp Butler National Cemetery southeast of Springfield. I'm not that thrilled with this image from a photographic perspective but that is not the main focus of this project. On this marking of the 34th month since Ryanne's death, I wanted to go someplace that would give me some perspective. This seemed like a good place to find some of that.
Today, this place was very quiet, cold, and lonely. Oddly enough, I didn't feel nearly as broken down and hopeless as I have on previous 14ths and I spent a lot of time thinking about the happy times I spent with Ryanne as I waited for some better light. The sun never made its way through the clouds but I spent no time on tears as I thought about my little girl. In spite of nothing really working out the way I wanted today, it was still a good day spent with my memories.
