The High Level Bridge and Tilling Stevens. . .
A lot of my younger days were spent around this part of Maidstone. Crossing the terrifyingly high . . .High Level bridge was a thrill (Not so much now since they added the extra high railings). Peering down into the windows of Tilling Stevens was sometimes spectacular with huge sparks coming from the polishing shop (2nd floor). I always said I would work there. . . And I did. . .
