Academic Writing Strategies Workshop
English Language Fellow Michael Giovacchini facilitated a workshop entitled “Academic Writing Strategies” at the Shanghai American Center. The audience consisted of Chinese professionals including PhD students, doctors, foreign embassy staff, and lawyers. The workshop focused on providing 7-minute strategies to begin the writing process quickly, to address two sides of an argument and to provide a way to organize initial ideas for writing for a variety of purposes.
