...the March, which was originally organised by civil groups for civil groups (fishermen, women, students, unions etc) was hijacked by Hamas a week before it was due to take place and the civil groups refused to have anything more to do with the March. When the march took place, instead of being 50,000 civilians, there were about 200 Hamas supporters...it was a perfect Hamas press opportunity
